WTY Director Job Description

  • Must have/pass background check
  • Must make sure that all kids feel welcome, and that you don’t exclude any one kid.
  • Must have some type of referencing leading to working with kids
  • Must be a good communicator and be willing to work with all other facilitators.
  • Must be able to build a relationship with kids and be willing to be their mentor, give them advice and be an ear to listen when someone needs to talk. This will help the involvement of others in the program
  • Must be willing to learn servant leadership throughout the AWC class standards.
  • Must be able to maintain the WTY program by: Planning programs for 8-month class, recruiting Students, Contacting and communicating with Principals, Superintendent, counselors IE., plan meals for students, arrange for meeting place, including but not limited to AWC building.
  • Must be able to communicate with outreach committee. Communicate information to be shared with the community.
  • Must be able to use 21st century qualities as guidelines to instruct the program. (Use language that kids understand IE: snap chat, twitter, Facebook)
